Meet Jessica Ansley

Hi! I am Jessica and I hail from metro-Detroit, Michigan. I am no stranger to the creative side of life. I am completely “right-brained” in that if it is a task that involves creativity, I have done it, or probably thought about trying it. My creative journey began at a very young age. My parents owned a family restaurant that specialized in take-out Italian cuisine. I spent most of my childhood in that restaurant. I would get bored and spend my time drawing or painting on the walls of my little corner. My parents surprisingly encouraged it. It wasn’t long until I began singing in the bathroom. Hanson’s song, “Mmbop”, could be heard throughout the restaurant.
Fast forward a ton of years, and here I am teaching others to paint, playing music at a local bar every weekend, and capturing the best moments with local families, models, babies, and children. The only thing that I wasn’t able to figure out was a sewing machine… those things scare me and I broke the last one I touched!
When I am not messing with my guitar, belting out my favorite P!nk tunes, or painting a canvas, I am taking care of my two special needs kiddos. (Really, they come before all of that other stuff.) Bella and Russell are my muses and they are what keep me going. Bella with her bright smile and Russell with his beautiful blue eyes both beg to have their picture taken daily, and I willingly oblige them!
Any-who, I love photography. I REALLY, REALLY love it. The fact that some of my photos are currently hanging on the walls of my clients, makes my heart sing! The fact that I can help others see the beauty in themselves is just the best feeling in the world. The fact that I can help YOU capture whatever moment-in-time it is that you want to capture, is just so epic and awesome to me.
